Hello San Diego Guitar Friends!

Usually around this time we are announcing our upcoming lineup but it should be no surprise that this time we were unable to plan for the following year. As we learn more and have a better understanding of the pandemic, we now know that a 2021 edition will not be possible.

On this International Women's Day 2020 we want to look back at our 5 Years of Diversity in Music anniversary.🤗 We can say that good times were had, amazing performances were heard, and invaluable masterclasses were taught! 👏🙏All by some of the most inspiring women of the guitar world!💪🔥🔥 #IWD2020

Our last guest artist of 2019 was amazing for several reasons. Not only did Alexandra Iranfar play a sold-out concert, she played an entire program for guitar and voice duo on her own, as the vocalist and guitarist!

SDGF is no stranger to electric guitar, but Jiji’s concert was unlike anything we’ve heard! Half electric guitar, half classical guitar; all amplified!

It has been over a month since our 2019 edition, and we can say that Opening Night with Bokyung Byun was a success! This year we presented all our concerts at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park, which is a great place to be at any time of the year, especially in the spring during cherry blossom season.
